Tiny Tots has an Equality, Inclusion and Valuing Diversity Policy. All children are treated as individuals in their own right and to this end we aim to:
- Provide a wide range of toys and activities that promote good learning opportunities for children at different levels of the learning process.
- Provide multi-cultural toys and books.
- Celebrate festivals from all cultures as well as birthdays
- Equality & Diversity Policy
We are an equal opportunities employer.
Behaviour:
When children behave in acceptable ways, adults will take into account children’s level of understanding and stage of development.
- Adults will not shout or raise their voices in a threatening way.
- Physical punishment, such as smacking or shaking, will not be used or threatened.
- Techniques intended to single out and humiliate individual children such as the ‘naughty chair’ will not be used.
- Children who misbehave will be given adult support by explaining why their behaviour is unacceptable and the effects of their behaviour on others. Where appropriate this might be achieved by a period of ‘time out’ with an adult.
- Understanding Behaviour Policy
Admissions and Waiting list:
Our Pre-school is open to every family in the community.
The waiting list for places is organised in order of date of birth, but other factors will be taken into account such as length of time on the waiting list and families moving into the catchment area. When places are in short supply, sessions will be shared out fairly and decisions made by the Committee as a whole.
