About Templegate Tiny Tots
Our pre-school offers your child a safe and secure environment with indoor and outdoor learning areas enabling us to enhance the holistic development of each child as an individual. We provide free choice learning through play activities and also planned topics designed to develop children’s emotional, physical and intellectual capabilities. Templegate Tiny Tots Pre-school is situated in a spacious rear classroom of Whitkirk Primary, close to Temple Newsam. We have a large enclosed area for outdoor play, including equipment for adventurous and imaginative activities.
The group was established in 1970 and is now managed by a voluntary committee, predominantly made up of parents. Everyone is welcome to become involved whether it be fundraising or at a committee level. Templegate Tiny Tots is a registered charity No. 1140718.
All our members of staff are highly qualified and experienced in childcare. The ratio of 1 adult to 5 children ensures all children have a key person who takes a special interest in their welfare and development. The setting is inspected by Ofsted to ensure we achieve best practice in the areas of care and education.
We offer funded places for 3-4 years old taking up the 15 hours per week. This has been extended to accommodate families who qualify for 30 hours free childcare funding. We also have places for funded 2 year olds.
